Quittty (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website at quittty.app and the Quittty iOS app.
Quittty is built with privacy in mind. Your recovery is personal. We don't sell your data, and the app keeps your progress on your device by default.
Information we collect
Website & waitlist
- Email address: when you join our waitlist or sign up for updates
- First name: optional, used to personalize welcome emails
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance
Quittty iOS app
- App data stored on your device: streaks, check-ins, journal entries, affirmations, settings, and other recovery data you create in the app
- Optional iCloud sync: if you choose to sign in with iCloud, your app data syncs through your private Apple iCloud account. We do not receive or store this data on our servers
- Purchase information: subscription status is handled by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat. We receive only what is needed to unlock premium features
How we use your information
- Send welcome emails and app launch updates you signed up for
- Share news about features, promotions, and coupons (only if you're on our mailing list)
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and app
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
Email communications
We use Brevo to manage our mailing list and send transactional emails. When you join the waitlist, your email is added to our contact list so we can reach you about Quittty.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us at mail@quittty.app to be removed from our list at any time.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not upload your journal, streaks, or recovery data to our servers (unless you opt into iCloud, which is managed by Apple)
- We do not require an account to use the Quittty app. No email or login is needed for core features
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising
Cookies & local storage
Our website uses minimal client-side storage:
- Theme preference: light or dark mode, stored in your browser
- Hosting analytics: Vercel may collect anonymized performance and usage metrics as part of hosting our site
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels on our website.
Data retention
- Waitlist emails: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data
- App data: stays on your device (and iCloud if enabled) until you delete the app or clear its data
- Server logs: retained by our host for a limited period for security purposes
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Children's privacy
Quittty is not intended for users under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their email, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
International users
If you access Quittty from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the US or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date below. Material changes will be communicated via email to waitlist subscribers or a notice on our website.
